I'm an 19th/ early 20c historian of the British Empire. My research has moved from studying gendered constructions of the British naval manhood to comparing colonial and imperial regulation of children's lives across the British empire. I currently each courses on British Empire, European History, World War One, and historical methods at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester Massachusetts. I serve as Chair in our department and right now I'm helping to launch a 'History Lab' in our department for our majors.
