I am a Professor of Contemporary History at the Federal University of Sao Paulo. I lead a group called "Hímaco - History, Maps and Computers", devoted to explore the possibilities of digital technologies in the work of historians. Presently, we carried out a project called "Pauliceia 2.0 - Collaborative Mapping of the History of Sao Paulo (1870-1940)". This is a partnership between my University (Unifesp), the National Institute for Spacial Researches (INPE), Emory University and the Public Archives of Sao Paulo (APESP).
